Everything you buy in the initial stages of opening should be to increase profits. You are a business, after all, and without a steady stream of revenue, the supermarket will never thrive.

Once you have established a solid customer base in the supermarket and are attracting more customers, you must hire additional employees and cashiers to keep up with the growing number of visitors. It's all a balancing act. Don't over-hire, or you will find your employees idle, cutting profits. Don't under-hire, or you will find your customers waiting in long lines with less revenue coming in due to idle wait times.
